BTCC – A very wet Thruxton…

Thruxton, Britain’s fastest circuit has a unique layout on an old RAF airfield where you can pretty much see all the action from one spot. This means it’s open to the elements, and the elements were definitely on show for rounds 7-9 of the British Touring Car Championship.

I just can’t help snapping a few details.

The MP4-12C seems quite underwhelming for a supercar but the details are immense.

Gurston Down Speed Hill Climb

A trip to Gurston Down Speed Hill Climb event saw some really nice motors pushed to the limit all in the name of a quick sprint time. Here’s some snaps from the event, enjoy…

Westfield aiming for Gurston glory.

Some incredible machinery on show.

The sound of this thing has to be heard to be believed.

Race-prepped MR2 also had a good run.

EVO was one of the favourites to put in a quick time.

The paddock contains a huge variety of vehicles, obligatory 350Z shot a must.

Retro 911 looked the biz.

Shame the Audi Quattro didn’t get to run due to a gearbox failure.

As many professional creatives will know, doing the thing you love everyday can be a double edged sword. When it comes to personal projects there simply aren’t enough hours in the day and if you’re like me, creative juices sometimes need a little topping up in any free downtime. Having had several different projects in the pipeline hanging around and destined never to be finished, i’m determined to finish some of them off.

First in my line of fire is an illustration i’ve had in mind for ages, a slight nod to my love of art-deco and of course my dead-and-buried MK2! So it didn’t quite turnout how i planned and not quite fitting in with the brief but i’m happy with ’88 unCovered and the juices are well and truly topped up for the week. Huzzah!

As you may be aware this is a new site design!
Still a few tweaks here and there but hopefully i will get round to sorting through all my work, theres a few years worth to sift through.
I will be using the blog feature a lot more now i’m happy with the site, some of it design related, some cars and a bit from my personal projects.

He has launched his brand spanking new website, which offers his quality services from web design to audio production and trust me this guy knows his onions!

Having known Leigh for a number of years now (including inpromptu trips to the pub dressed as santa in October) he has guided me on many of my own personal and professional projects providing great solutions and ideas.

Britain at War Magazine

This may be a bit of old news but i’ve had an update recently.

I was contacted regarding my photograph of the Battle of Britain War Memorial near Folkstone some time ago from the kind people at Britain at War Magazine.

I was over the moon that they wanted to feature my photo in this issue of the magazine and asked them to make a payment to the Help for Heroes charity.

Well this has all gone through and i can give you a glimpse of the magazine and article in all its glory.

I’m really chuffed this was used for a magazine like this, the article is really poignant, reminding me of the day i took the picture and the perfect timing of the sun and passing storm.

I would highly recommend a visit to this place if you get chance, also worth a look on google maps to see the shape of the memorial.

Intrepid Model Adventures

Introducing a project that has my involvement for some creative and promotion.

A very good friend of mine Mr Dean Newcombe, model, adventurer and general decent geezer, setup www.intrepidmodeladventures.com and asked me to help out on it.

I will let him explain more about the overall vision of the website but his current mission is helping the people of Japan, not by selling cup-cakes or a car boot sales, he’s out there digging tsunami waste and helping the people of Tohoku, North-East Japan.

His blog will explain what it’s all about.

So having taken on what he started, i hope to introduce some exciting new things to IMA in the future but for now his good work is helping people who really need it. It might now be news anymore but it’s still happening.

We also have setup the official IMA facebook page and twitter feed so you can keep in touch with all the good work going on a future projects.
